The Blue Recall was the last pair of Air Max 90s I bought, almost 2 years ago. After a long haitus, I’m back with these Nike Air Max 90 OG Volt, which are designed with a shape closer to the original release in 1990.
These come in a special 30th Anniversary box that mimics the original Air Max 90 box style and features the same Volt color found on the shoes. They also include anatomical arch supports and a volt hang tag. The shoes ship with white laces.
I owned the white-swooshed version of this shoe that released in 2012, sold it, and instantly regretted. That shoe is pretty hard to find now, so luckily Nike dropped these and I swooped up a pair as soon as I could!
How Are The Materials?
These have slightly better materials than a typical Nike Sportswear pair of Air Max 90s. We still get the same felt-like suede and basic leather and mesh construction, but everything feels just slightly better. Not so much as to call these “premium” or “high quality”, but noticeably better if you are used to general release Air Max 90s.
How Do They Fit?
These fit true to size, and have a narrow Air Max fit that Nike is infamous for. They are still very comfortable! Since this shoe features the “OG Shape”, the shoe is still relatively nice and pointy at the toebox.
